Top 5 is a pack of cards for conversation, group openers or for use simply as a fun game.
Each cards suggests a category for Top 5 discussion. Examples are: Name your top five excuses for being late to work, smells in the kitchen, animal noises, holiday destinations or people you have met in the past. Easily adaptable, you can change the game to top two, top 10, or worst two and so on. Top 5 is great for reminiscence, memory, recall and group interaction.

Who Will Benefit from this Activity?
Top 5 will be most enjoyed by people in the early to moderate stages of dementia, although people in the later stages of dementia will benefit from the interaction and conversation of the activity. The outcome of the activity may vary depending on the person’s ability, however for people with dementia, it is important to remember that when participating in the activity, the focus should not be about the activity itself, but the quality and enjoyment of the interaction. It is the enjoyment of the activity that will contribute to their overall sense of happiness and well-being.
