Mrs. Vernada Thomas was born in the country of Haiti. She moved to the United States about 5 years ago where she now resides with her husband and son Robert. While still residing in Haiti, she worked as a nurse and school teacher. This is where her love for children and the elderly grew.
While here in the U.S., she became a certified nursing assistant and worked for Fritzingertown Assisted Living. Here is where she developed a more special love for Alzheimer and dementia patients. These experiences helped her to become more creative. She came to realize that there is a need for this type of book. One that is geared specifically for those types of patients.
This book was created using hand-eye coordination. It was also created for all activity departments in every style of residential facility, nursing home, and rehabilitation center which cares for Alzheimer and dementia patients.
